A complete circular orbicular stamp (0.106, with a small orbiculus (0.018). Brick:0.187+ 0.18+ 0.03

There are two lines of letters around the edge of the stamp, running in concentric circles. There is an image of a bird in the centre.

 0.015 (outer, line 1), 0.014-0.015 (inner, line 2). Rome Severan (Steinby 1974-75: p.86). This brickstamp was part of a second batch of brickstamps from Rome, Ostia, and Portus given to the Ashmolean by J.H. Parker, Keeper of Antiquities in the Ashmolean Museum (1870-84). The exact identity of Flavius Titianus is the subject of debate (PIR2 F383; Setälä 1977: pp.117-118), but may have held office as proconsul of Africa, and may have been brother of the wife of emperor Pertinax.
